Projects
We have significant experience in the design and build of security and emergency systems and project management. We employ advanced technicians and qualified Site Safety Supervisors (SSSTS) trained and (CITB) Site Safety Plus certified to ensure our projects are managed safely, efficiently and commissioned on time.
Our recent projects include a number of new build academy schools, where our combined skills of design, build and project management have proven our ability to manage larger projects, using our expertise to provide our customers with bespoke security solutions to a very high standard using the very latest technology.

Security systems design and build project working for BAM construction. The project included the design, installation and project management of a comprehensive security system for a multi-occupancy building, comprising of a secondary, primary and nursery school and sports centre.
The system comprised of a networked IP CCTV system using HIK Vision Pan Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) cameras, integrated with the Texecom intruder alarm system and “Dark-Fighter” technology static cameras. Paxton net 2 access was installed throughout the building and net 2 video entry used for each visitor entrance.
A trained and qualified Site Safety Supervisor was appointed to supervise the project through to completion. The team were commended by BAM Construction for working safely and for their conduct throughout the project.

This project was challenged by the Covid-19 epidemic in the final weeks of completion. The project was interrupted to allow work place risk assessments and safer systems of work to be developed, written, submitted and introduced. I am proud to say that our team did a sterling job of completing the project without any issues.

Bloor Homes Headquarters expansion project. 1st Alarm commissioned with design and build for CCTV expansion using HIK Vision Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) cameras with smart motion detection and Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) response. The site is maintained under contract and has been upgraded to a high standard to include independent motion detection with remote monitoring.

Networked door access system using Paxton Net 2 platform. System integrated with audio warning and visual verification to alert customer when door is propped open. System installed over multiple floors along with networked CCTV for visual verification.

The security systems comprise of a Grade 3 intruder alarm system with Police and Security response. Wired and long range wireless hold-up alarm system. A CCTV system with remote monitoring with motion detection and capable of tracking over distance. A Paxton video entry system to control visitor access to the premises. This was a design and build project for our customer. 1st Alarm are accredited by the Security Systems Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) and a registered installer with Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Derbyshire Police. This means that we can certify our installations to meet the highest standards and arrange for a Police response with your local Police Force.
Dual-technology motion detection installed away from the fabric of the building to improve detection performance.
